Taksoo Grade 1 Assam CTC black tea from India, with a rich taste, dark infusion and pleasant aroma. Free from additives and chemicals; supplied in durable tins for long-term storage. Its rounded brown granules are made by crushing and curling Camellia sinensis leaves and brew quickly. Preparation: 1 teaspoon per 2 cups of water at 100°C; steep for 5 minutes. Drink in the morning or 2 hours after meals. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have a medical condition or [•••] in a cool, dry place away from strong-smelling substances and sunlight. Described benefits include relieving fatigue and drowsiness, providing antioxidants, fighting free radicals and lowering blood cholesterol. The first CTC machine was used in 1930 at Amgoorie tea estate in Assam under Sir William McKercher; use expanded across India and Africa from the 1950s.
